Of course, this is just my opinion, but I believe no other team in the NBA right now can top a backcourt like the Lakers have on the defensive end.

Two names, Kobe Bryant and Ron Artest (depending on what position they put him at).

Kobe is arguably the best all around player in the game right now and he proved that throughout the playoffs and the NBA Finals recently. Artest is as good an on the ball defender as any player in the league. They both may be getting up there in years, but they can still ball with the best of them.

Not only will the Lakers backcourt be the best in the league in my opinion, but their frontcourt will be just as dominant with a healthy Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol, Ron Artest and Lamar Odom (if he signs).

They should be fun to watch this season! Can you say repeat?
